Testimonial software helps you ask customers for testimonials, collect them as video, audio or text, and publish them on your website and social media. There are good options, and the right one depends on how many brands you run, how your customers like to respond and what you want to do with the results.
We make Akteora, so we are not neutral. We have tried to be fair: every competitor price below is taken from that company’s own pricing page in October 2026, and where a page did not show a price we say so instead of guessing. Prices change, so check the linked page before you decide.
What to look for
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How your customer records | Does it open straight to the camera in the browser, or ask for an app, an account or an email first? Every extra step loses people. |
| Formats | Video, audio and written on the same link, so camera shy customers still reply. |
| Brands and clients | If you run several brands or work for clients, check what a second brand costs. Per space or per project pricing adds up quickly. |
| Showing testimonials | A widget for your site, a public page, and whether you can remove the tool’s branding on the plan you would actually buy. |
| Video for social | Can it turn testimonials into captioned clips in vertical, square and widescreen? |
| Consent and the FTC rule | Does it keep a record of what each customer agreed to? Does it ever let AI write or change testimonials? |
| Leaving | Can you export everything, including the original recordings, whenever you like? |
Akteora
What it does: one collect link where customers record video, a voice note or a written testimonial in their browser, with no app and no account. An inbox to approve and tag what comes in, with automatic transcripts and search. A widget for any website, a public testimonial page for each brand, and captioned reels in three sizes. You can import testimonials you already have, export everything, and connect it to other tools through an API and webhooks.
Pricing: A free plan with 1 brand and 15 testimonials a month, then Starter at $29 (3 brands), Agency at $79 (15 brands), Plus at $149 (unlimited brands) a month. Every paid plan collects unlimited testimonials. See pricing for the details.
What sets it apart: it is built around the FTC rule on testimonials. Consent wording is saved word for word with each testimonial, original recordings are never edited, AI never writes or rewrites what customers say, and imported reviews are labelled and kept out of your star rating. Brands are counted per plan rather than charged one by one, which suits agencies.
Good fit for: agencies and businesses with several brands, and anyone who wants video, audio and text on one link without paying per brand.
Worth knowing: Akteora is newer than the others here, so it has fewer integrations. Reels are on paid plans, and the API is on the Agency plan and above.
Testimonial.to
What it does: Collect video and text testimonials with a hosted form, and show them with embeddable walls and widgets.
Pricing: A free plan, then Starter at $25, Ultimate at $50 and Ultimate+ at $95 a month, billed annually. The Ultimate plans are priced per space, and each extra space costs the same again. Their pricing page.

How to choose
- One product, mainly written testimonials: most of these tools will do. Pick on how the widget looks on your site and what the plan you need costs.
- Several brands or client work: compare the cost of your fifth brand, not your first. That is where per space and per project pricing diverge from per plan pricing.
- Video for social media: check whether captioned clips are included, in the sizes you post, and whether captions come from what people actually said.
- Regulated or cautious about compliance: ask each vendor how consent is stored and whether AI can change testimonials. Our post on AI testimonials explains why that matters.
Several of these tools have a free plan, so the best test is to send a real link to one friendly customer and see what the experience is like on their phone. Akteora’s free plan needs no credit card.
