People who send a testimonial

• We store what you send: your recording or written words, the details you choose to give (name, email, title, company, rating), and the consent text you agreed to, word for word.
• We store a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to prevent abuse.
• Your original recording stays private. A testimonial is shown publicly only after the business you sent it to approves it and chooses to make it public.
• Recordings may be transcribed, and the transcript is shown with your testimonial.
• If you gave an email address, the confirmation email contains a link that removes your testimonial. Removal erases the recording, your words and your details for good.

People who view a testimonial

• Public brand pages and the embeddable widget set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking.
• Recordings are served from our content delivery network.

Businesses using Akteora

Account details are used to run your account. Testimonials belong to the business that collected them, which decides what is published.
